About Commissioned by Christ: Commissioned by Christ (CBC) is a Catholic nonprofit organization that plans, fund raises for, and conducts short-term Catholic mission trips for working adults and families.Although there are many options for long-term, full-time mission work in the Catholic Church, God does not call everyone for a more permanent kind of mission. Many lay Catholics have families, careers, and responsibilities which do not allow them the flexibility to uproot their lives to do mission work. CBC helps working adults and families who are called to give more of their time and talent to God but cannot walk out on the responsibilities that God has entrusted to their care. CBC hopes that through doing so, people will be brought closer to God, will have a desire to fight the degradation of the family, and will be able to help fellow Catholics grow in faith, love, and charity.
