When You Can't Be a Missionary

God places on the heart of a CBC missionary the desire to go out into the world and serve those most in need. But what can you do when a pandemic undermines your call to minister to the poor, vulnerable, impoverished? Although we’ve had to make the tough decision to cancel this year’s international mission trips, I’d like you to consider some local opportunities in need of volunteers.

• The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood and platelet donations. Schedule an appointment to donate today.

• Harvest vegetables with CBC and the St. Lucy Project and help provide healthy options to the food insecure

• Volunteer at the Lamb Center, a day drop-in shelter for those experiencing homelessness

• Spanish speaker? Become a Prayer Warrior for the Mother of Light Center and pray with their families in need.

• Join CBC’s CaritasBuildersprogram, which helps support us and provide project and building materials at job sites, food and medical supplies
